Ditching fad diets and bone broth. Yes I said it. Bone broth is not going to correct your gut health. It is high in saturated fat and void of any fiber. Saturated fat is a known contributor of gut dysbiosis and fiber from a diverse range of plant foods is our guts best friend.

Patience! Let me say this louder for those in the back...PATIENCE! You've lived with these symptoms for weeks, months, years even. Not only this, more often then not, symptoms are usually the final aspect to show when you are suffering from gut dysbiosis. Meaning you've been living with dysbiosis for much longer than you realize. It doesn't occur overnight, therefor you can't expect overnight results. Stick to it and with time and patience you will work your way back to a strong and thriving gut microbiome.

What does the investment look like?
The amount you will invest working with me will vary depending on the length of time you choose to work together.
That being said the smallest package I offer is currently a one hour 1:1 session, priced at, $199.99 CAD and my largest package is a 3 month program, priced at, $1,349.99 CAD.
You can also choose to book a 15 minute consult with me free of charge, where you will have nothing to loose, and everything to gain.

How long will we work together?
The length of time we will work together all depends on the amount of time you require to reach your goals.
This being said, my longest program is 3 months. However, this doesn't mean you will feel fully confident to venture out your own yet when finishing the program. You may feel the need to add on a few extra 1:1 sessions or even another one of my 3 month packages.
My goal by the end of our time working together is that you feel confident enough to take your health into your own hands, because ultimately I know you can!

Do I need to be vegan to work with you?
Of course not! I happily meet my clients where they are and never pass judgement on someone's current diet. My ultimate goal is for my clients to have flexibility and balance with their diet all while feeling incredible in their own skin. I know this can be done by incorporating more plants in ones diet, so I would ask that you keep an open mind. The research regarding gut health clearly states a diverse, high fiber, plant based diet is the single greatest component to repairing the microbiome. Because of this, I do strongly recommend my clients work towards increasing the amount of whole food plants in their current diet, unless already eating a whole food plant based diet. By the end of our time together, I know you will feel empowered with your new found health and plant focused diet.

Do you accept health insurance?
No I do not accept health insurance. With that said, your extended health plans may cover a certain percent for nutritionists. If this is the case I will gladly issue an invoice in which you can submit to your insurance providers. Some of the insurance providers that have extended coverage for nutritionists include but are not limited to Blue Cross, Claim Assure, Desjardins, Manulife, SunLife, or Alberta Blue Cross. When checking with your insurance provider look for services such as nutritional counseling, nutrition services or natural nutrition.
I will not know for sure if your insurance provider covers my services, so before working with me, it will be your responsibility to ensure you have coverage if you plan to submit a claim.

Do I need to get testing done in your programs?
I will never ask you to get any tests done through me. That being said I may suggest you book an appointment with your family physician to have standard blood work/tests done. This will be in order to see the whole picture regarding your health. By doing so we will be able to create an appropriate personalized wellness plan for you.
Outside of what your doctor may request in terms of tests, I don't agree with over priced testing that doesn't provide the full picture nor do they guarantee accurate results. You also don't need to pay for tests to determine food sensitivities. Just tracking your food and how it makes you feel will tell you, and in the end, save you a chunk of money...if you're like me you don't mind saving money where you can.

Will you provide a meal plan?
I don't typically provide a meal plan for my clients as my goal for you is to understand how to build the perfect plant forward balanced plate on your own. When we rely too heavily on meal plans, we become lost and overwhelmed when we don't have one to follow. The last thing I want for my clients, is to leave them feeling adrift.
This being said, I am always happy to discuss recipe ideas with clients in sessions, emails, etc.
